Murrieta, CA — Building on the success of last year’s engine giveaway, Power Automedia is excited to announce the latest partnership with Ford Performance Parts and Late Model Engines (LME). LME will be charged with building a 1,000-horsepower turbo Godzilla engine live on the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show floor. Enthusiasts will have a chance to see a powerful example of this exciting new platform come together before their eyes – and maybe even take it home!

“After the success we had last year, working with Late Model Engines again is a no-brainer,” said Greg Acosta, EngineLabs’ Editor. “I’m excited to team up with the folks at Ford Performance Parts and dive into the Godzilla platform, in front of anyone who wants to watch. This engine has intrigued me for a long time, and this is a great opportunity to get hands-on with it.”

As Ford enthusiasts already know, the Godzilla is a 7.3L V8 engine with a more traditional pushrod design, and is the largest displacement gasoline engine offered by Ford Motor Company. This year, LME will start with a stock Godzilla crate engine from Ford Performance Parts, do a baseline dyno test, and then work its magic to hold high boost. Following the engine assembly at the PRI Show in Indianapolis, IN on December 8-10, 2022, the engine will be dyno tested again to verify its four-digit power as the winner is selected.

“This is a unique opportunity for trade show attendees and our EngineLabs audience to watch live as the world-class team at Late Model Engines demonstrates the capabilities of the newest crate engine offered by Ford Performance,” shared Ivan Korda, Senior Director of Business Development. “In stock form, the 7.3L Godzilla delivers impressive performance, but we are planning, with the help of our excellent partners like Summit Racing Equipment, to take this engine’s performance to a level our audience would expect. Time to turn the boost up!”
